As a proclaimed Latch Key Kid, I fell in love with books when I was 9 years old, moved two blocks from our local library, and had a lot of time on my hands. As I grew it was the one constant passion that stayed with me, a piece of me that I never quite thought of as something that defined me, but more like something that I did to pass the time as I tried to find out who I was. I love the feeling of falling into a story and being transported to another time another place, and if only for little bit feeling like I am a word traveler. One of my favourite things is inspiring others to fall in love with reading, maybe just reminding of their own love of the written word.
I’m a Word Traveler…fitting name for someone who lives a nomadic lifestyle. In my life moving every couple of years is normal, and every move lends to new experiences, inspirations, people, and not to mention places that lead to different reading experiences that I perhaps wouldn’t have stumbles upon on my own. I love the feeling of falling into a story and being transported to another time another place, and if only for little bit feeling like #imawordtraveler.
